The prizes truly are piling up for the Groggy Sundays’ next show.
We’ll be back on stage Saturday, April 6 at OJ’s Avenida, raising money for the family of Andy McLuskey, a close friend and former bandmate of some of us Groggies, who passed away suddenly in January.
We’re doing this through a series of prize draws and a 50/50 draw–and we’re truly overwhelmed at the generosity of friends and businesses who’ve donated items to make this a VERY big deal.
Some of the prizes include:
- Two round-trip tickets to anywhere Westjet flies;
- Four tickets and a parking pass to a Calgary Flames game in October/November 2019;
- Two Calgary Roughnecks tickets;
- A Calgary Flames jersey;
- $50 in South Street Burger gift certificates;
- Mall gift certificates;
- Four Cineplex movie passes;
- Golf passes; and
- Booze baskets.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to Westjet, Printerworks, South Street Burger, New York Fries, Core Spin Club and the Enbridge Employee Club, among many others.
We’ll have a dedicated team at OJ’s Avenida that night selling prize and 50/50 tickets. As the Noble Crew did in Kelowna last month, we want to celebrate Andy’s life and love of music–and all money we raise on April 6 will be forwarded to Andy’s wife Cari and their twins Aidan and Abby.
Andy was our friend, our brother, our musical comrade-in-arms. He was taken from us too soon, and on on the 6th we’ll honor his memory with family, friends, and former Gringo Love bandmates.
The music should start about 8:30, but the tickets will go on sale early that evening.
Buy early. Buy often. Let’s do Andy proud and make it a night to remember.
